Dual Wield RPG v0.5

Dual Wield is a PbtA/RoB game about big personalities and striking aesthetics clashing with one another in dramatic and high-stakes conflict. It's designed as a game framework rather than a standard setting with canon features. It involves dungeon-crawling and boss fights, but more so focuses heavily on the characters' personal lives and issues.

Based primarily on Rhapsody of Blood, Dual Wield takes an idea that's been done a few times (what if people could transform into weapons?) and take it a step further by making it that all the PCs transform into weapons and take turns using one another. Though that sounds like it could be boring for whoever is on weapon-duty, the combat of the game is designed in which both wielder and weapon get an action and they pull from a different set of Moves.

After playing Boyfriend Dungeon, the idea developed into also incorporating trauma as a major factor in character design and that dungeons be themed around the individual PCs hang-ups. The party is like a support group and the therapy is swordfighting your inner demons. How seriously you take this topic is up to you, it doesn't have to be played heavy and dark.

Weapons get five melee playbooks to choose from, but your Wielder form is fully customizable with its own moves (examples are included to get you started). Depending on how the game does, I might brew up some ranged weapon rules and/or add more playbooks or moves.

For now, this is just the beta, and it offers rules for 2-4 players and a GM, as well as suggestions for a GM-less game style if you so wish.
